With a region as large and diverse as these 16 counties, there are a significant number of stakeholders. The 30-member, volunteer Coordinating Committee serves as the governing board for Thrive 2055. Its members are representative of the 16-county region and serve as the primary project stewards, managing the resources and coordinating the various activities to ensure progress is made effectively and efficiently. The Coordinating Committing is supported in its efforts by a local project manager, a communications and outreach coordinator, a volunteer staff team from local partner agencies, and a team of consultants. An Elected Officials Advisory Group was formed to provide an effective means of communication between the Coordinating Committee and the hundreds of elected officials throughout the 16-county region. An outreach plan for the region is carried out by staff and volunteers to ensure the Coordinating Committee is guided in its decisions by the input of thousands of citizens living and working within the tri-state region.
